About Us

hello, gorgeous! The original Barbie Townhouse (circa 1974) is considered one of the brand's most iconic doll houses. It was equipped with a "working" elevator and, according to some historians, took its design cues from the clubby bohemian décor of Greenwich Village.

My fascination with design likely began with the hours I spent as a kid decorating my Barbie townhouse. As far back as I can remember, I have loved to create pretty spaces, adding splashes of color and unique touches for personality. My husband can attest to all the times he has come home to discover a new piece of furniture or an entirely rearranged living room!

As life progressed, we were blessed with triplets, and I chose to be a stay-at-home mom, which kept me wildly busy over the last 19 years. Still, I retained my side job designing spaces for family, close friends, and investment properties-and sharing my creative aesthetic with clients at our family's cabinet company, Engstrom Wood Products. The stars have aligned and it's time for me to launch a concept I've been thinking about for a while: Lauren & Grace Studios. This concept evolved out of my love of design and I wanted to use my sense of style to create a truly special bathroom vanity "boutique" with pieces that are simply... gorgeous. Owning a cabinet company, I've had a unique opportunity to learn what builders, remodelers, designers, and homeowners want in their cabinetry. I knew Lauren & Grace Studios could offer exceptional quality, ease in purchasing, top-notch service-and a product built right here in Minnesota. Are you searching for that perfect statement piece? If you want one-stop shopping, cute details, and curated looks that make selection easy, then you're in the right place. Page through my initial offerings. I hope you'll love them as much as I do.
